Paul Strawn grew up in the Mason County area of the Upper Satsop Valley north of Elma WA. After high school, Paul followed the natural direction of the local job market and began a career working in the timber industry. There, Paul learned the tricks of the trade to stay alive and the meaning of hard work. His best friend from school worked in the timber industry too as a timber faller and began to teach Paul the art of falling timber. From there, Paul excelled as a precision faller cutting timber throughout Mason & Grays Harbor County. As the timber industry began to change, Paul knew that he too would have to make changes and began planning for a transition. In 1994, Paul decided that moving into the real estate industry gave him the best opportunity to work for himself and build a successful business much like he did in the timber industry.
